Benny Sorrentino’s - 64 S Mason St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
Benny Sorrentino’s is a part of the Benny’s pizza chain that is located states including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wyoming. What makes Benny’s pizza so special? Benny’s is well known for their humongous slices of pizza. These slices take up two whole paper plates! A whole pizza from Benny’s is 28 inches, meaning lots of pizza for everyone. After tasting a slice of their cheese pizza for only $5, I would rate Benny Sorrentino’s a 7/10. I liked that you get your money’s worth when buying this pizza, $5 for a giant slice is a steal! The pizza itself is good as well, I prefer more seasonings on my crust such as garlic. Overall, very good pizza, you need to come with an empty stomach!
Bella Luna – 80 W Water St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
Bella Luna is a local wood-fired pizza restaurant located in Downtown Harrisonburg. Not only do they serve pizzas, but also pastas, salads, as well as plenty of dessert. Bella Luna has a variety of choices when it comes to pizzas, they offer pizzas from simple cheese to prosciutto and arugula. These 10-inch thin-crust pies are more on the pricier side with pizzas ranging from $9.50 to $15.50. My personal favorite at Bella Luna is their margherita pizza, the combination of their sauce with the mozzarella and basil is delicious. I would rate Bella Luna an 8/10 for their pizzas. Even though they are more expensive, you certainly get your money’s worth with the quality of their pizza. Wood-fired pizzas are some of my favorites, and Bella Luna knows how to perfectly cook their pizzas!
Chanello’s Pizza - 787 E Market St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
Chanello’s Pizza is certainly a favorite of mine for delivery orders. Chanello’s is located off East Market Street in Harrisonburg, VA, but they offer many locations across Virginia, as well as one in North Carolina. Chanello’s has a wide variety on their menu including create your own pizza, specialty pizzas, gourmet pizzas, cheesy breadsticks, subs, salads, and wings. Chanello’s is popular for late night deliveries, since they are open until 2am. My personal favorite pizza from Chanello’s is their Chicken Florentine pizza, which is topped with grilled chicken, spinach, tomatoes & mozzarella. I would give Chanello’s a 7/10, sometimes their pizza is too greasy for my liking, but I love the taste of the pizza itself and the thickness of the crust. Their prices are reasonable as well, making this a solid choice for pizza.
